Died 26 Nov, 1914 while anchored in Sheerness harbour.
Edward Thomas Hall, son of
Edward Willis Hall, RN, grandson of George Hall and
Mary Ann Bashford was killed early in WWI when HMS
Bulwark, while at anchor,
sank after her magazine exploded. Members of the
crew were blamed for improper
storage of munitions but others believe that the
munitions were old and dangerous.
